Wireless warrior

You’ll have to excuse the brevity of this post, but my laptop battery dies off around 1% every 5 seconds or so. World o suck.

Anyway – I’m sitting here in the Tampa airport, taking advantage of their internet. This is pretty fucking addictive – having internet everywhere.

I’m sitting here because I managed to forget my license this morning – instead I had to get it delivered to the airport. That was a disaster. So now I’m sitting here, waiting for the desk lady to come so I can figure out what the hell I’m supposed to do about getting to Nashville. They’re on Central time, so I can’t even call and let people know yet, though I’ve left a message. Plus, Tampa got their asses handed to them last night at the Forum, and my car was run into in the parking lot yesterday.

This is a nightmare.

Battery’s dead.

Post-new-ticketing addendum:

Sometimes you learn that no matter how much you worry about something, it generally works out okay – you know, as long as babies aren’t involved.  Got my ticket moved to a later flight for free, so now I’m just wasting time waiting for a flight.  I have to say, though, I do feel like a complete chooch about this whole situation – nothing like being the “professional expert” and not even being able to make a flight on time.  Hopefully they don’t throw blood on me.  Or boots at me.  That’s what they have in Nashville, right?  Boots and big hats?  I’m clueless, really.

Airport’s internet speeds: 729/716kb/sec.  If the hotel has something better I’m going to do my best to leech away as much as possible.  Hotel piracy is awesome.
